Dr. Kevin Coughlin
Dr. Kevin Coughlin was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on June 7, 1958 to Ralph and Joyce Coughlin. He grew up in Feeding Hills and attended school in Agawam, Massachusetts. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Springfield College, majoring in Biology and entered the Pre Dental Program. Dr. Coughlin also received a teaching degree in Secondary Education.
Dr. Coughlin graduated Tuft's University School of Dental Medicine where he studied Oral Cancer, Oral Pathology, Dental Anesthesia, and gerontology (the study of Geriatric Dentistry). While a student at Tuft's he was class vice president. He worked as a Phlebotomist and a psychiatric sitter at the New England Medical Center. At Tuft's, Dr. Coughlin ran and completed the historic Boston Marathon twice. Prior to graduation he spent time as a resident general dentist in Togas, Maine, at the oldest VA hospital in the country. In 1983, Dr. Coughlin was asked to join the dental practice of Drs. Milton and Gabriel Auerbach, who have since both retired.
Baystate Dental provides a wide array of services to our patients. We take care of your dental needs from age 6 months to Senior Citizens. Services like, root canals and placement of implants, and full restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Additional services such as all types of extractions including wisdom teeth and emergency tooth removal are an additional benefit to patients in need. Many of our patients are interested in braces and we offer all types of band and bracketing including Invisalign, the invisible solution to braces. Among our services we have an extensive program to treat gum disease, where we work with you to maintain and improve your overall condition of your gums. Patients suffering from headaches and pain in their jaw greatly appreciate that we have different solutions to temporomandibular joint dysfunction or TMJ. For those patients who need partials or dentures we pride ourselves on the quality work that we provide. If your child is in need of an athletic guard to protect his/her teeth during sports, we have numerous types to choose from. So as you can see we are committed to taking care of your every need.
Dr. Coughlin has completed a one-year program in temporomandibular joint disorders at the Gelb Pain Center at Tuft's University, and has attended numerous lectures at the Pediatric Department at Tuft's University. Dr. Coughlin is also in the process of completing his Masters in Business Administration at Western New England College with a focus in Healthcare Management. He is currently on staff at Baystate Medical Center and Mercy Hospital.
Dr. Coughlin is a member of the Valley District Dental Society, The American Dental Society, The Academy of General Dentistry, The International Association of Orthodontics, The American Academy of Implant Dentistry, The American Association of Dental Anesthesia, The Northeast Cranial Mandibular Pain Society, The New England Implant Study Group, The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and is currently involved with the Jimmy Fund and Brightside Organizations, with special interest in helping children. Dr. Coughlin's office has been providing the majority of dental care for the children of Brightside for numerous years.
Dr. Coughlin resides in Longmeadow, Massachusetts with his wife and three children where he and his family enjoy numerous activities and sporting events.

Dr. Gary F. Circosta
Dr. Gary Circosta was born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts. He graduated from Classical High School. He then graduated with the honors of cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Bates College, and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
After graduation, he served a tour of duty in the United States Air Force, attaining the Rank of Major, and serving as the Assistant Base Dental Commander at Myrtle Beach AFB.
His entire civilian dental experience has been in the Group Practice of dentistry. He worked for nearly fifteen years in affiliation with the Harvard Medical and Dental Schools to develop and expand the Dental component of Harvard Community Health Plan. During that time, he served as the Clinical Director of one of the Health Centers in the organization. His clinical interests at the time allowed him to participate in research projects to improve the dental health of the elderly, and to develop an intricate On-Call program to serve the membership during off hours.
Since becoming a partner in Baystate Dental PC, he has devoted most of his time in the two Springfield offices. He has focused on implementing programs to expand the services provided by Baystate Dental PC. He maintains a full-time practice of general dentistry. His main interests are evolving toward the aesthetic aspects of dental health, providing full services to restore function with cosmetics in mind.
He has become certified in the Invisalign Orthodontic technique, also is certified to provide "mini" dental implants to restore teeth where appropriate.
His outside interests revolve around physical fitness and nutrition. He received the degree as a Registered Professional Nutritionist. Along those lines, he recently became certified to provide the DDS Weight Management System to Baystate Dental PC patients. At this time, he is one of only a few dentists in the State of Massachusetts who is certified to provide this service.
Dr. Circosta is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetics Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Valley District Dental Society.

Dr. Matthew J. Haluch
Dr. Matthew J. Haluch is a native of Ludlow, Massachusetts and a 1993 graduate of Ludlow High School. He received his bachelor's degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester MA and earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska.
Dr. Haluch did his residency at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. While there he received an Oral Surgery award for the hospital and was named Resident of the Year. Now a partner at Baystate Dental PC , Dr. Haluch maintains a full-time practice of general dentistry, has become certified in the Invisalign Orthdontic technique.
He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Valley District Dental Society.
Dr. Haluch is a life-long sports enthusiast. He played soccer and baseball throughout high school and college and enjoys being on the golf course when time permits.
